8 Days Kilimanjaro Climbing Lemosho Route Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Day

After you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport / JRO our driver guide will pick and transfer you to Tulia Lodge in Arusha for overnight and last minutes gears check

Day One: Kilimanjaro Hike Mti Mkubwa Camp

Start with an early breakfast at the hotel; then you drive approximately 2 hours through the rural countryside to the Londrossi Gate. For the necessary park registration formalities at the Londorossi National Park gate, you drive through varied farmland with open views over the plains to reach the Lemosho road head. You will start hikking on the rain forest pole pole to camp at Lemosho Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day Two: Kilimanjaro Hike Shira Camp

Your Mount Kilimanjaro climbing day 2 you will leave the forest behind now, the trail climbs steadily with wide views to reach the rim of the Shira Plateau, an easy day gradual hike pole pole up to Shira Camp.

Day Three: Kilimanjaro Hike Shira Hut

A day 3 on Kilimanjaro you will follow an easy path to the summit of Shira Cathedral before reaching the next camp at Shira Hut. The night at Shira camp will be chilling but rare to reach overfeeding, it can be colder than the list night, the low temperatures dropping to closer to below freezing.

Day Four: Kilimanjaro Hike Barranco Valley

In your day 4 on the Kilimanjaro you will traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, gradually  ascend up to 4600 m Lava Tower for acclimatization where you will have your lunch then continue with a gentle descend to Barranco valley 3,900 m.

Day Five: Kilimanjaro Hike Karanga Camp

Day 5 start with a steep climb up the eastern wall leads us just below the Heim Glacier, where we may have some spectacular views of Kilimanjaro. A day start with hike through a gentle trek on the Barranco Wall / Breakfast, which divides us from the southeastern slopes of Kibo, the trail continues down into the alpine desert of the Karanga Valley, finally you will have a steep climb up to Karanga Camp

Day Six: Kilimanjaro Hike Barafu Camp 

Day 6 you will leave Karanga Hut through the gradual to the Barafu Ridge; you walk POLE POLE to the base camp where you will have a last briefing and early dinner and resting waiting for the midnight to push to the main peak.

Day Seven: Kilimanjaro Hike Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp  

Early in the morning 5 o’clock  the strive ascend to the summit starts which will take you about 4-5 hours then after successfully reach the summit you will start descending slowly back to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day Eight: Kilimanjaro Hike Mweka Gate to Arusha

Final day on the Kilimanjaro you will descend through the rainforest to Mweka gate for signing your certificates. Your driver will be waiting for you to pick and drive back to Tulia Lodge in Arusha.

Day Nine: Departure Day

At any time depend on your schedule will transfer you to airport
