Day by day Itinerary

Day 1:  Arusha – Lake Manyara National park

After early breakfast and a brief from our professional safari guide in the morning, you’ll be driven to Lake Manyara. The Park is about 600m high rift valley escarpment.

What to see: Lake Manyara it’s where thousands of flamingos seem to color the shallow waters pink. Many water birds gather at the lake and quite 400 bird species are found within the park. The various vegetation provides a habitat for several animals like monkeys within the forest, giraffes, and antelopes on the grasslands, and elephants around the acacia trees. If you’re very lucky you would possibly also see the Manyara climbing tree lions.

Day 2: Lake Manyara Area – Serengeti

After morning breakfast you’ll drive through the crater highlands where the Iraqi people cultivate wheat, coffee, and corn. You’ll pass through the Ngorongoro Crater before you reach the Serengeti plains during midday. Know that the Serengeti is the largest park in Tanzania and includes a diversity of habitats and landscapes. As well Kopjes where predators are often seen.

Day 3: Serengeti park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

An early morning game drive is your perfect chance to see predators in the action! make sure to move out before 6 AM and watch the plains come alive. During this point there’s is an opportunity of spotting nocturnal animals in action like leopards, hyenas,s, and lions. Likewise in daylight, you may be ready to spot several diurnal animals like wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes, elephants, etc.

Day 4:  Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast you’ll descend to the Ngorongoro crater floor, where you’ll be able to see all the big five, and other species also Black rhinos are available inside the Ngorongoro crater. During this day you’ll have your lunch inside the crater while watching the spectacular landscape and nature of the Ngorongoro crater. Later after a 6 to 7 hours game drive inside the crater floor, you’ll start ascending from the crater and drive back to Arusha overnight or drive to Kilimanjaro/Arusha airport.

  • On arrival at major airports (JRO, DAR, ZNZ).
  • In advance from a Tanzanian embassy or consulate.

  • $100 for U.S. citizens.

Passport requirements:

  • Valid for at least six months beyond travel dates.
  • At least one blank page for entry stamps.

  • Advance booking is highly recommended, especially for peak seasons (June–October & December–February).
  • A deposit is typically required to confirm a reservation.
  • Full payment is usually due weeks before departure.
  • Upon confirmation, you will receive:

  • We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
  • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus the deposit.
  • 30–59 days before departure: 50% refund.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: No refund.
  • No-show or early departure: No refund.

  • International Airport: Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is the closest airport to Moshi, about 45 minutes away.

Alternative Airports:

  • Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam
  • Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) in Zanzibar

From these airports, you can take a domestic flight to JRO with Air Tanzania, Precision Air, or Coastal Aviation.

Important Requirments

Weight Limit:

Domestic flights in Tanzania have strict baggage limits, typically 15 kg (33 lbs) per person, including carry-on.

Bag Type:

Soft-sided duffel bags are recommended for easy storage on small aircraft and safari vehicles.

Prohibited Items:

Avoid packing plastic bags as they are banned in Tanzania.
Additional Charges: Excess baggage fees may apply if you exceed the airline’s weight limit.

Vaccinations:

  • Yellow fever vaccination is required if traveling from or transiting through an endemic country.
  • Recommended vaccinations: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus, and Rabies (for those spending extended time in remote areas).
