Day by day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After early breakfast, you’ll depart from Arusha to Lake Manyara arriving with plenty of time for an afternoon game viewing. If you are lucky, you may get a chance to see the tree-climbing lions, which are unique to this national park. Moreover, apart from tree-climbing lions, there are several other wild animals like zebras, wildebeest, hippos, baboons, leopards etc.

Day 2: Exploring the  Olduvai Gorge

After morning breakfast, you’ll take a picnic lunch while heading to the Serengeti, it will take approximately 4 hours to reach at the entrance of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your journey will take you to the Olduvai Gorge, where the Leakey’s discovered the hominoid remains of a 1.8-million-year-old skeleton of Australopithecus boisei, one of the distinct links of the human evolutionary chain. You will then continue into the Serengeti.

Day 3:  Serengeti – Full Game Drive

After early breakfast, you will leave with your packed lunch in lunch boxes and head out to the plains of Serengeti for the morning game drive in search of more animals and birds. Our professional safari guide will be in close contact with other safari guides via VHF radio to locate the best sightings of the day and you will expect to see several animals inside the Serengeti like Leopards, Lions, Elephants, Rhinos etc.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

After early wakeup you will prefer to do a morning game drive then after breakfast, you are off with a packed lunch in lunch boxes, as you drive out towards Naabi Gate to leave Serengeti National Park with a game drive en-route. Later afternoon, you will arrive at your tented camps or lodge at the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater where you will have an overnight.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

After early breakfast, you’ll be driven to the crater floor of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is now the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and is also called “Africa’s Garden of Eden.  During the game drive at Ngorongoro crater, you’ll be able to see Black rhinos with ease as well as other animals like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, serval cats, elephants and enjoy the spectacular view of the Ngorongoro landscape.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park – Arusha

You will drive to Tarangire National Park (Home of Giants), a “must-see” for avid birdwatchers, boasting over 550 different bird species, the most diverse in Africa, including the Kori Bustard, the heaviest flying bird in the World! you will have a wonderful game drive in the park and later you’ll be driven to your hotel in Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro Airport.

Visas can be obtained:

  • Online via the eVisa system.
  • On arrival at major airports (JRO, DAR, ZNZ).
  • In advance from a Tanzanian embassy or consulate.

Cost:

  • $50 for most nationalities.
  • $100 for U.S. citizens.

Passport requirements:

  • Valid for at least six months beyond travel dates.
  • At least one blank page for entry stamps.

  • Advance booking is highly recommended, especially for peak seasons (June–October & December–February).
  • A deposit is typically required to confirm a reservation.
  • Full payment is usually due weeks before departure.
  • Upon confirmation, you will receive:

    3. Essential travel details (permits, packing lists, etc.).

  • We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
  • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus the deposit.
  • 30–59 days before departure: 50% refund.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: No refund.
  • No-show or early departure: No refund.

  • Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) in Zanzibar

From these airports, you can take a domestic flight to JRO with Air Tanzania, Precision Air, or Coastal Aviation.

Important Requirments

Weight Limit:

Domestic flights in Tanzania have strict baggage limits, typically 15 kg (33 lbs) per person, including carry-on.

Bag Type:

Soft-sided duffel bags are recommended for easy storage on small aircraft and safari vehicles.

Prohibited Items:

Avoid packing plastic bags as they are banned in Tanzania.
Additional Charges: Excess baggage fees may apply if you exceed the airline’s weight limit.

Vaccinations:

  • Yellow fever vaccination is required if traveling from or transiting through an endemic country.
  • Recommended vaccinations: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus, and Rabies (for those spending extended time in remote areas).
